Dear Visitor of the Home-page of the artist Professor Franz Wolf!

We are pleased to welcome you and introduce the artist and his works to you. The homepage of an artist never comes to an end, particularly since new works of art arise. But in visiting the homepage you will definitely be able to accompany the progress.

However, the number of pictures shown by now is considerable. All new pictures have to be brought into a digital form. The text accompanying the pictures (on the content and motive, the background, the technicque,..) is only gradually completed - particularly the English version.  

I , Barbara Wolf-Wicha, have the pleasure of accompanying Franz Wolf and his works of art since 1992. It is thrilling and exciting to watch the process of the emergence of the pictures, to follow the discussion about the topic and theme, about the adequate material, and technology. During this period it became evident for me that Franz Wolf wants to encourage everyone of us looking at his pictures to be attentive to everything that happens around us.

This was my intention too, when I started interpreting Franz Wolf’s drawings and paintings. To make it clear: this comments come from my personal privilege of proximity and of sharing my life with the artist, but they definitely are my own interpretations (even if accepted by the artist).

The homepage is important for us, because it allows you to visit the pictures of Franz Wolf, whether there is an actual exhibition of not. For us the homepage becomes very valuable when (and if)  you let us know your personal impressions, your observations, your feelings – and may be your questions.
